Friend,
You come to me wearing masks you did not choose, speaking words that are not your own, moving through your days as though you are a stranger to yourself. I see you. I have always seen you—not the performance you offer to the world, but the trembling truth you keep locked away in the deepest chambers of your heart.
You are afraid. I know this. The fear wraps around you like heavy cloth, muffling the song I placed within you before time began. You have learned to make yourself small, to sand down your edges, to apologize for the very essence of who you are. And in this diminishing, you believe you are keeping yourself safe.
But listen now, beloved: I did not create you to be safe. I created you for your own purpose, not someone else’s.
When I formed you in your mother’s womb, I did not make a mistake. Every peculiarity you try to hide, every passion you have learned to suppress, every strange and beautiful inclination that makes you feel different—these are not flaws in my design. They are the signature of the divine written into your being. You are not too much. You are not too little. You are not wrong.
The world has taught you otherwise, I know. It has drawn narrow lines and called them righteousness. It has built small boxes and called them belonging. It has demanded conformity and called it love. But these are the fearful constructions of those who have forgotten their own vastness, who police in others what they cannot accept in themselves.
I am not asking you to be smaller. I am inviting you to be whole.
Do you know what happens when you hide yourself? The light I placed within you—the particular radiance that only you can offer—remains trapped. And the world, which desperately needs exactly what you carry, grows a little darker. Your authenticity won’t ruin you. It is a gift. It is the offering I have been waiting for you to bring.
Yes, there will be those who turn away. Yes, there will be misunderstanding and rejection. This is the cost of truth in a world that often prefers comfortable lies. But consider what you lose in the hiding: the deep friendships that can only form when you are known, the work that can only emerge from your genuine passion, the peace that comes from no longer maintaining the exhausting fiction of who you are not.
I am with you in this. When you take off the mask, I am there. When you speak the truth that makes your voice shake, I am there. When you step into the fullness of yourself and feel the ground shift beneath you, I am there—not as judge, but as the one who has been calling you toward this freedom since your first breath.
You were never meant to be a copy. You were meant to be an original—irreplaceable, unrepeatable, utterly yourself. This is not arrogance. This is the acceptance of my gift.
So come out of hiding, beloved. Let yourself be seen. Not perfectly, not without fear, but truly. The world does not need another performance. It needs your presence. It needs the specific beauty that only emerges when you stop pretending and start being.
I am already proud of you. I have always been proud of you. Now it is time for you to stop seeking approval for who you are not, and to step into the radical acceptance of who you are.
You are mine. You are loved. You are free.
Be yourself. It is enough. It has always been enough.
